“We Are Sanctified by God’s Word and Sent into the World to Fulfil Christ’s Great Commission 我們藉神的道成聖，奉差遣進入世界去完成基督的大使命“（John 約翰福音17:17-19）
Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
求你用真理使他们成圣；你的道就是真理。你怎样差我到世上来，我也怎样差他们到世上去。我为了他们的缘故，自己分别为圣，使他们也因着真理成圣。
Sanctification which implies holiness means being set apart from the corruption of the world for God’s special pleasure and use. This keeping process is not left to us alone; it is a work of God in us and through us, not effected apart from His divine revelation. It is not primarily personal holiness (though that is included), but more so being set apart for God’s service and mission. The more truth we believe, the more sanctified we will be. For the sake of God’s word and work becoming fully effective in His disciples’ lives, Lord Jesus was set aside and offered Himself in sacrifice (as both priest and altar) completing the work of the cross.
那意味著聖潔之成聖的意思是要與世界的敗壞分開，而為神所特別喜悅和使用。這個保守的過程並不是單單留給我們自己達成的；它是神在我們裡面並透過我們所作的工，它要有效就離不開祂神聖的啟示。成聖主要不是個人的聖潔(雖然也包括在內)，而更多是為了神的事奉和使命而被分別出來。我們相信的真理越多，我們就必成為聖潔得越見效。為了神的道和所作之工，在門徒的生命裡成為完全有效的緣故，主耶穌被分別出來，把自己（既是祭司又是祭壇）作為祭物獻上，去完成十字架的工作。
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, you did not come as a philosopher, an inventor, a discoverer or a conqueror. You came to teach us, to live among us, to suffer for truth and righteousness and to rescue mankind. You were the great Missionary, the Messiah, the Sent One. Thank you such honour and privilege that we are the minor missionaries sent out into the world to accomplish the Father’s will and purpose. Amen.
