“Being a Christian Should Make Us More Responsible in Serving Christ 作成一個基督徒理應使我們在服事基督上更有責任感“（Colossians 歌羅西書 3:22-25）
Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favour, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favouritism.
你們作僕人的，要凡事聽從世上的主人，作事不要只作給人看，像那些討人歡心的一樣，卻要以真誠的心敬畏主。無論你們作甚麼，都要從心裡去作，像是為主作的，不是為人作的，因為你們知道，你們一定會從主那裡得到基業為賞賜。你們應當服事主基督，但那些不義的人，必按他所行的不義受報應。主並不偏待人。
For ancient/modern Christian slaves/workers (servants), there is no guarantee on earth of fairness of treatment from those whom they work for. But God wants those who work for their earthly masters (with eye-service and as men-pleasers) to see that they ultimately work for Him according to His order of authority. Therefore, they should do it heartily, as to Christ and not to mankind. God promises to reward with an inheritance from Him those who work with that kind of heart. It is possible for an unfaithful servant to wrong and defraud his master in a great variety of ways without being detected. Being a Christian should make us more responsible, not less responsible. There is a final rewarding and punishment, and with this there is no favouritism.
對古代/現代的基督徒奴隸/員工（僕人）而言，他們在地上會得到主人/顧主的公平待遇是沒有保證的。然而，神想要那些為世上的主人作工（作給人看和討人歡心）的都曉得，他們按著祂賦權的定律歸根結底都是為祂作工。所以，他們無論做什麼，都要從心裡作，像是給基督作的，不是給人作的。神應許要把祂的基業，賞賜給那以這種心態作工的人。不忠心的僕人可能會以各種方式，對主人不公或者欺騙主人而不被發現。作成一個基督徒理應使我們多有責任感，而不是少有責任感。最終的酬報和刑罰必會存在，到那時，主必不偏待人。
Prayer: Righteous and Loving God, we might have been dishonest, lazy or unreliable in our duty before. When exposed, we should not expect special leniency but deserve a reprimand from our boss even if the boss is a Christian. Thank you for reminding us that you may prepare a reprimand which is far worse to deal with as well. Forgive us if we did and help us to do it heartily as to Christ. Amen.
禱告: 公義、仁愛的神啊，我們以往或許曾經是不誠實、懶惰或不可靠的。當東窗事發時，就算上司是基督徒，我們不應期望他有特別仁慈的對待，卻會受到他的譴責。感謝你提醒我們，那更糟糕去處理的是你也會預備譴責。如果我們犯了，求你寬恕我們，並幫助我們要從心裡作，像是給基督作的。阿們。
