“May God’s Work in Us Transform Our Will and Change Our Actions 願神在我們裡面所作的工，轉化我們的意志，並改變我們的行動“（Philippians 腓立比書2:12-13）
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed – not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence – continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfil his good purpose.
這樣看來，我所親愛的，你們素來是順服的，（不但我在你們那裡的時候是這樣，現今我不在，你們更要順服，）就應當恐懼戰兢地作成自己的救恩。神為了成全自己的美意，就在你們裡面動工，使你們可以立志和行事。
The obedience to be expected of Christians as Jesus’ followers should be connected with the obedience Jesus showed. To work out our salvation is to activate the salvation God freely gave us through Jesus Christ seeing it evident in every area of our lives. So caring about others’ souls must begin with our own soul as well. We should have the righteous and awe-filled reverence of God and live with a fear of failing to apply to the fullest consequences of our salvation because God’s work in us increases our responsibility to will and to fulfil His good purpose, not lessening it in any way. .
基督徒作為耶穌跟從者被預期的聽從，理應與耶穌表現的聽從兩者之間有關聯。要作成自己的救恩，就是要激活神透過耶穌基督白白賜給我們的救恩，明顯可見於我們生命中的每一方面。因此，要關顧別人的靈魂也必定要從自己的靈魂開始。我們理應有著對神的正直和充滿畏怯的敬畏，並帶著恐怕未能適用於自己得救的全面結果之心而活，因為神在我們裡面所作的工，增加我們立志和成就祂美善的計劃的責任，而不是在任何情況下減少它。
Prayer: Father God, thank you for reminding us that Jesus Christ has done a complete work of salvation for us and yet we must work out in His grace what He has worked in us. Let us use our understanding of your sovereignty and omnipotence as a motivation for greater, more dedicated service to Him. May your work in us extend to the transformation of our will as well as changing our actions because it gives you pleasure to do so. Amen.
禱告: 父神啊，感謝你提醒我們，耶穌基督已為我們作成了救贖的完整工作，然而，我們在祂的恩典裡必定要作成祂在我們裡面所作了的工。讓我們運用對你至高的主權和全能的理解明白，作為對祂更大、更熱心服事的動力。願你在我們裡面所作的工，延伸至我們意志的轉化，與及改變我們的行動，因為這樣行給你帶來樂趣。阿們。
