“Are We After God’s Heart Doing His Will 我們是合神心意，遵行祂的旨意嗎？“（Acts 使徒行傳 13:21-25）
Then the people asked for a king, and he gave them Saul … After removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him: “I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.” ‘From this man’s descendants God has brought to Israel the Saviour Jesus, as he promised. Before the coming of Jesus, John preached repentance and baptism to all the people of Israel. As John was completing his work, he said: “Who do you suppose I am? I am not the one you are looking for. But there is one coming after me whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.”
那時，他們要求立一個王，神就把 … 掃羅，賜給他們作王 … 廢去掃羅之後，又為他們興起大衛作王，並且為他作證說：‘我找到耶西的兒子大衛，他是合我心意的人，必遵行我的一切旨意。’神照著應許，已經從這人的後裔中，給以色列帶來了一位救主，就是耶穌。在他來臨之前，約翰早已向以色列全民宣講悔改的洗禮。約翰快要跑完他的路程的時候，說：‘你們以為我是誰？我不是基督。他是在我以後來的，我就是給他解腳上的鞋帶也不配。’
Paul’s survey of Israel’s history carried on stating the event of the creation of a monarchy highlighting King David from the descendants of whom God has brought to Israel His promised Saviour Jesus who is the goal of history. John the Baptist rightly saw Jesus as who He really was and prepared the hearts of others for Him. John knew Jesus was more than a teacher whose sandals he was not worthy to untie. Jesus was the One greater than all others, the Lord God we must all answer to. As Christians, since we are in Jesus, we are in the flow of God’s great plan of redemption.
保羅的以色列歷史綜覧繼續陈述君王建立的事件中，強調神從大衛王的後裔中給以色列帶來了祂應許的救主耶穌，祂就是歷史的目標。施洗約翰正確地看見耶穌的真實身份，並為祂預備了別人的心。約翰知道耶穌不僅僅是一位老師，祂腳上的鞋帶他也不配解。耶穌是比其他人更大的那一位，是主我們每一個都必須向祂交賬的神。作為基督徒，因著我們是在耶穌裡，我們都是在神偉大的救贖計劃的流程中。
Prayer: Father God, you testified concerning David: “ … a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.” You also testified together with the Holy Spirit concerning Lord Jesus: ‘You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.’ Both examples make much sense to us in being your obedient children and servants after your heart. Moreover, thank you for the right, humble response of John the Baptist to follow putting Lord Jesus and ourselves in respective proper places and priorities glorifying you. Amen.
