“The Spirit of Man Makes Him a Human Being 人的靈使他成為人“（1 Corinthians 哥林多前書 2:9-11）
However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’ – the things God has prepared for those who love him – these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
正如經上所記：“神為愛他的人所預備的，是眼睛未曾見過，耳朵未曾聽過，人心也未曾想到的。”但神卻藉著聖靈把這些向我們顯明了，因為聖靈測透萬事，連神深奧的事也測透了。除了在人裡面的靈，誰能知道人的事呢？同樣，除了神的靈，也沒有人知道神的事。
God the Creator is the ‘I AM’ who is not derived but self-existent, high over all, ancient of days and dwelling in light unapproachable. Man, though privileged beyond all other, is still but a creature. ‘The spirit of man’ is the man’s deep-in human entity, the essence of his being ‘I am’ which is derived from God and dependent upon His creative fiat for his continued existence. Man’s knowledge of God is by the direct impression of the Spirit of God upon the spirit of man that gives himself self-knowledge. What makes man a human being is his spirit in which the image of God originally lay.
神那創造者不是衍生的，仍是「我是（自有永有）」，超乎萬物，亙古長存，住在無人能近的光裡。人雖然被賦予特權超乎萬物之外，但仍是受造者。 「人的靈」是那人深藏的實存物，他成為「我是」那生命的本質。這靈源出於神，人為著存活下去要依靠祂滿有創造力的命令。人的靈給人自我的認識；人對神的認識，是藉著神的靈在人的靈裡的直接刻印。使人成為人的，是安放在他的靈裡神的形像。
Prayer: God our Creator, you rule and reign from your throne in heaven but dispensing love and mercy to all who turn to you through your Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. May your holy name, all you represent, be held in honour and awe, as you deserve. May everything we are and do speak of your glory/perfection, faithfulness and total care on earth as they are in heaven. Amen.
禱告: 神我們的創造主啊，你從天上的寶座上掌權作王，卻透過你兒子耶穌基督和聖靈，對所有轉向你的人施予慈愛和慈悲憐憫。願代表你一切的聖名，得著你當得的尊榮和敬畏。願我們所作成的每一事物述說你的榮耀/完全、信實和整全的看顧，在地上如同在天上。阿們。
