But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. … We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
我們有這寶貝在瓦器裡，是要顯明這極大的能力是屬於神，不是出於我們。… 我們身上常常帶著耶穌的死，好讓耶穌的生也在我們的身上顯明出來。
God’s ways and human ways are not equal. Neither learned skills nor tried and proven methods for getting things done in old Adam’s world are of very little use in the spiritual realm or even fail when applying to the work of the Holy Spirit. The new Adam will not surrender to the old Adam nor gear His new creation to the methods of the world. The true Church of God, the company of the forgiven and regenerated, yielded to analysis by the historian or the psychologist is the very thing that does not signify the earthen vessel in which the precious treasure is contained. The treasure itself transcends the art of man to comprehend! Those who follow on to know the Lord discover that the old things will pass away and all things will become new!
神的道路與人的道路並不等同，在老亞當的世界裡學習得來的技巧或試過而可行的處事方法，在屬靈的領域上毫無用武之地，甚至應用在聖靈的工作上一無成效。新亞當必不降服在老亞當之下，也不會讓祂新造的人順應世界的法則。神真正的教會就是一群得蒙救贖與重生的人，而在歷史學家或心理學家手裡分析下，是表明不出那藏著珍寶的地上瓦器。那珍寶本身實在超越人的技能去理解！那些跟從去認識主的人，都會發現舊事將過，一切都變成新的了！
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for shining the light of your gospel and truth into our hearts, giving us hope, salvation, new life, a clear conscience, and power to live aright for you. Let your light shine through us into others’ hearts that they may find you as their light and salvation. Amen.
