“Jesus Christ Is Every Man’s Contemporary 耶穌基督與每一個人都同代同期“（Psalm 詩篇 46:10-11）
He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’ The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
你們要住手，要知道我是神；我要在列國中被尊崇，我要在全地上被尊崇。萬軍之耶和華與我們同在；雅各的神是我們的保障。
If God for the time being has placed us in the tumult, we can still know Him but He is known best in the silence. Inward assurance comes out of the stillness. Today stillness is even more badly needed and hard to find. Christ is every man’s contemporary. His presence and His power are offered to us in this time of mad activity and mechanical noises provided that we get still enough to hear His voice and believe and heed what we hear. We must be still to know! In that awesome Presence we are simply men and women. Artificial distinctions among people fade away. We stand frightened and undone and fugitive from the terror of the broken law, desperately in need of a Saviour!
倘若神眼下已把我們置於喧囂中，我們仍能認識祂，可是，我們在安靜中最能認識祂。內在的確信是源自安靜，今天安靜是更迫切需要和艱難找到。基督與每一個人都同代同期，只要我們有足夠的安靜，去聆聽祂的聲音，並相信和留意我們所聽見的，在時下狂熱的活動和機械的嘈雜聲中，祂會賜予我們祂的同在與能力。我們必須在安靜中去認識！在神那可敬可畏的同在裡，我們只不過是人罷了；在人中間一切人為的區別全然消失。我們處於受驚、毁了和在違背律法的恐怖下逃跑，急切需要一位救主！
Prayer: Heavenly Father, in recognition of your glory and greatness, all argument and opposition should stop. We should simply be still and surrender as seeing that ‘God is God’ may well be sufficient to still all our objection and opposition against your divine sovereignty. Thank you for your assurance through Jesus Christ that we are safe in your hands. Help us to see each day what you have done, acknowledge you as the Lord Almighty and exalt you among others. Amen.
禱告：天父啊，在對你榮耀和偉大的承認裡，一切的爭論和敵擋理應要停止。我們理應僅僅要安靜，並鑑於「神就是神」這理據，可足以令我們一切的反對和敵擋你屬天的主權要住手和降服！感謝你透過耶穌基督的保証，我們在你手中是平安無害的。求你幫助我們每一天看見你的作為，承認你是全能的主，並在眾人中間尊崇你。阿們。
