4/11 “Are We So Dull? Don’t We See That連我們也是這樣不明白嗎？難道不知道 … ？”（Read阅读Mark 马可福音 7:17-23）
… ‘Are you so dull?’ he asked. ‘Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.’ (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.) He went on: ‘What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come … All these evils come from inside and defile a person.’
… 他對他們說：“連你們也是這樣不明白嗎？難道不知道從外面進去的，不能使人污穢嗎？因為不是進到他的心，而是進到他的肚腹，再排泄到外面去。”（他這樣說是表示各樣食物都是潔淨的。）接著他又說：“從人裡面出來的，才會使人污穢。因為從裡面，就是從人的心裡，發出… 這一切惡事，是從人裡面出來的，都能使人污穢。”
After calling the crow to Him for telling the parable, Lord Jesus addresses His disciples’ query pointing out that people are defiled from the inside out rather than from the outside in (which is particularly true of traditions, rituals and ceremonial things like foods). He begins with a long,13-part list that exposes the kind of evil that lives in the human heart, the evil thought from which the evil action comes. We do not need to travel a long distance to find the source of these sins. We do not need to conduct an exhaustive search. All we need to do is look at we own heart.
主耶穌把群眾叫過來講了比喻之後，就處理門徒的疑問，指出人是由內而外被玷污的，而不是由外而內（這對於傳統、儀式和禮儀性的東西如食物等尤其如此）。祂以一個長又從13部分組成長的清單，揭示了人類心中的邪惡（邪惡的思想）開始，因為邪惡的行為是由此而來。我們不需要長途跋涉就能找到這些罪惡的根源；我們不需要進行詳盡的搜索；我們所需要做的就是注視自己的內心。

Oh Sovereign God, the devil has been preaching upon this text and few have been able to escape the horrible exposition. Many of us know that using words against anyone means slander and using words against you means blasphemy. Strictly speaking, blasphemy means insulting God or anyone who has been made in the image and likeness of God. Are we so dull? Do we not really see that? Have pity upon us! Amen.
至高無上的神啊，魔鬼一直在這段經文上宣講，很少有人曾經能逃脫那可怕的講解。我們中許多人曉得，用言詞去攻擊反對任何人意味著毀謗；用言詞去攻擊反對神意味著褻瀆。嚴格地來說，褻瀆的意思是侮辱神或按著神的形像和样式被造的任何人。連我們也是這樣不明白嗎？難道我們真的不知道嗎？求你開恩可憐我們！阿們。
