“Have We Connected and Tuned to God of Trinity 我們已經與三一神連結和調諧嗎？“（Acts 使徒行傳 11:11-18）
… The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with them. … bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.” ‘As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning. Then I remembered what the Lord had said: “John baptised with water, but you will be baptised with the Holy Spirit.” So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?’ When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, ‘So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.’
… 聖靈吩咐我跟他們一起去，一點也不要疑惑。… 有話要告訴你，使你和你全家都可以得救。’我一開始講話，聖靈就降在他們身上，正像當初降在我們身上一樣。我就想起主所說的話：‘約翰用水施洗，但你們要受聖靈的洗。’神既然把同樣的恩賜給他們，像給我們這些信了主耶穌基督的人一樣，我是誰，我能夠阻止神嗎？”眾人聽見這些話，就默然無聲，把榮耀歸給神，說：“這樣看來，神也把悔改的心賜給外族人，使他們得生命。”
While explaining to those circumcised Christians in Jerusalem, Peter was wise to have taken those six witnesses who were with him to his meeting with Cornelius. Peter was careful to quote Cornelius’ testimony of experiencing God’s angel visited at his house to justify that it should be permitted for Peter to enter it as well. We should be like Peter recognizing the importance of sensing where God the Holy Spirit is going and heading that same direction, instead of trying to persuade God to go our own direction. Peter also recalled what Lord Jesus said about being baptized with the Holy Spirit to show that God’s stamp of approval was on this work towards the Gentiles as well as those Jewish Christians could not withhold their acceptance when God had given His. It is a glorious thing when God’s people will allow their prejudices and traditions to be overcome by God’s Word and God’s work.
當與在耶路撒冷那些守割禮的基督徒解釋的時候，彼得帶了那六位和他一同與哥尼流會面的見証人的做法是明智的。彼得小心地引用哥尼流經歷神的天使到訪他家的見証，來証明自己到他的家理應是同樣容許的。我們應當像彼得一樣，認識到感知神的聖靈正往那裡去的重要性，並向那同一的方向走，而不是嘗試說服神往自己的方向走。彼得也回想起主耶穌說及有關受聖靈施洗，表明神的認可之印落在對外邦人的這事工上，與及當神已接納外邦人時，那些猶太人的基督徒不能扣住對他們的接納。當神的子民讓神的話語和工作去克服他們的偏見和傳統時，就是一件榮耀神的事。
Prayer: God of Trinity, without connecting to you, to you rightly and frequently, we could never achieve tuning ourselves to you and to your will at all. There are many today who look at some work or another and say, “Look what God is doing.” But activity alone is not enough to validate a work of you. It must also be in line with your Word. May the grace of God the Son Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father and the fellowship and power of God the Holy Spirit be with us always enabling to know your word and do your will. Amen.
禱告: 三一神啊，沒有與你連結，與你確切和經常地連結，我們自己就永不能達成與你和你的旨意調諧。今天有許多注視某的或其它事工的人說：「看啊，神在作甚麽。」但是單單活動不足以証明是你的作為，它也必定要與你的道吻合。願聖子野穌基督的恩典、聖父的慈愛和聖靈的團契和能力，常與我們同在，使我們能夠曉得你的話語，行你的旨意。阿們。
