“Putting God First Helps Achieving Unachievable 以神為首有助達成不可達成的“（1 Kings 列王記上 17:8-16）
… I have instructed a widow there to supply you with food. … ‘And bring me, please, a piece of bread.’ … she replied, ‘I don’t have any bread – only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. … make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it – and die.’ Elijah said to her … first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: “The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land. … So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. …

This is an illustrated example of putting God (via His faithful servant) first in the Old Testament similar to that of the poor widow whom Lord Jesus has commended for her offering all she had to live on for God’s sake. Putting God first in our daily life could often be accompanied with His marvellous sign(s)/act(s) that reveal His glory. What an honour we have if we could be of use to God and share His glory!
這是在舊約聖經裡，一個把神（經由祂忠心的僕人）放在首位的詳述例子，類似在新約聖經裡，主耶穌曾表揚那貧困寡婦的例子一樣，她為著神的緣故奉獻全部養生的。在我們日常的生活裡把神放在首位上，往往會有祂令人驚訝的徵兆/作為伴隨，彰顯祂的榮耀。如果我們能被神使用，並分享祂的榮耀，我們是有著何等的光榮呢！
Prayer: Sovereign Lord, we can still believe that you continue to do signs and wonders among people glorifying your holy name today provided that we always seek your kingdom and your righteousness first in our lives. May the Holy Spirit open our eyes and our hearts so that we could sharply identify and promptly grip any opportunity, even not noticeable, for your will being done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
禱告：至高無上的主啊，只要我們在自己的生命裡，常常先求你的國和你的義，我們能仍然相信，你繼續在人中間，行神蹟奇事去榮耀你神聖的名。願聖靈打開我們的眼睛、我們的內心，以致我們能敏銳地認定和立即抓住，任何讓你的旨意行在地上，如同行在天上的機會，就算是不引人注目的機會。阿們。
