“Faith Must Rest in the Adequacy of Christ 信心必须建基於基督的完備上“（1 Corinthians 哥林多前書 1:22-25）
Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling-block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
猶太人要求神蹟，希臘人尋找智慧，我們卻傳揚釘十字架的基督；在猶太人看來是絆腳石，在外族人看來是愚笨的，但對那些蒙召的人，不論是猶太人或希臘人，基督是神的能力，神的智慧。因為神的愚笨總比人智慧，神的軟弱總比人剛強。
Christianity does not need any help from science and philosophy which are more arrogant and bigoted than religion could ever possibly be, trying to brand evangelical Christians as bigots. Science tells us nothing about Jesus Christ, our Lord. Studying the philosophers’ may clarify our thinking, but it is not necessary to our salvation. Jesus said, “I am the Light that lights every man. I am the Bread that feeds every man. I am the One who came from the heart of the Father, and I am the Eternal Word which was in the beginning with God, and which was and is God, and that is who I am.” So, we are assured in the Word that it is Jesus only and He is enough! He is the Eternal Word, and so we must listen to Him!
基督教並不需要科學和哲學的幫忙，它們比宗教更加狂妄執拗，設法替福音派基督徒冠上「頑固」的名號。科學提供不了甚麼有關我們的主耶穌基督；研讀哲學家的著作可以使我們的思想清晰，但對於我的得救卻全不需要。耶穌說：「我就是光，照亮所有的人。我是生命的糧，餵養所有的人。我是從父懷裡出來的那一位；我是永恆的道，從太初便與神同在，從亙古到今都是神。我就是這樣的一位。」因此，我們在神的道中確信耶穌是獨一無二，且是全然完備的！祂乃是永恆之道，我們必須聽從祂！
Prayer: Father God, we thought we might be able to escape from personal or public responsibility if we were clever enough to cover up our wrong or the dark side of our heart. But we forget that there is nowhere we can go from your Spirit! With our responsible witness for Lord Jesus, may we boldly proclaim that the crucified Christ is the Wisdom and Power of God. Amen.
禱告：父神啊，我們以為，如果我們相當聰明，把自己的錯誤或內心的黑暗面掩蓋起來，或許能夠逃避個人或公眾的責任，我們卻忘記了沒有一處可容讓我們躲避你的靈！願我們負起為主耶穌作責任重大的見証，勇敢地宣揚釘十字架的基督乃是神的智慧和能力。阿們。
