“God Will Not Play along with Adam 神不會與亞當戲耍“（Philippians 腓立比書 2:5-8）
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death – even death on a cross!
你們應當有這樣的意念，這也是基督耶穌的意念。他本來有神的形象，卻不堅持自己與神平等的地位，反而倒空自己，取了奴僕的形象，成為人的樣式；既然有人的樣子，就自甘卑微，順服至死，而且死在十字架上。
In our eagerness to lead men to ‘accept’ Christ we are often tempted to present for acceptance a Christ who is merely a Christ of convenience and not the true Lord of glory at all! Christ is often recommended as a wonderfully obliging but not too discriminating Big Brother who delights to help us to accomplish our ends but not asking about the moral and spiritual qualities of those ends. God will not play along with Adam; Christ will not be ‘used’ by any of Adam’s selfish brood. The whole purpose of God in redemption is to make us holy and to restore us to the image of God! To accomplish this, He disengages us from earthly ambitions and draws us away from the cheap and unworthy prizes that worldly men set their hearts upon. (A. W. Tozer)
在我們熱切帶領人「接受」基督時經常受到誘惑，把基督推介為只不過是能給他們大開方便的基督，而不是榮耀的真主宰！基督經常被推介為一位樂善好施的老大哥，不大分辨我們的目的正確與否，凡我們期望的，他都樂於幫助我們達成，卻不加追問我們的目的是否合乎道德與屬靈。神不會與亞當戲耍，基督也不會被亞當自私的同夥利用。神在整個救贖的目的，是要使我們成為聖潔，恢復我們原本神的形象！為了成就此事，他斷絕了我們屬地的野心，把我們拖離世人朝思暮想的廉價，甚至一文不值的獎賞。（陶恕）
Prayer: Father God, few seldom humble themselves to the extent like that of our Lord Jesus becoming obedient to death on a shameful cross! Thank you that you follow our willingness with interest, not our capability for no one could do it without your love and grace as well as the power of the Holy Spirit! Amen.
