“God Will Judge Everyone with Fairness According to One’s Own Ways 神必照著人自己所行的，以公正來審判每個人“（Ezekiel 以西結書 33:17-20）
Yet your people say, “The way of the Lord is not just.” But it is their way that is not just. If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, they will die for it. And if a wicked person turns away from their wickedness and does what is just and right, they will live by doing so. Yet you Israelites say, “The way of the Lord is not just.” But I will judge each of you according to your own ways.
你本國的人還說：‘主所行的不公平。 ’其實他們所行的才是不公平。義人若離開他的義，去行惡事，他就必因此死亡；惡人若離開他的惡，去行公平和正直的事，他就必因此存活。你們還說：‘主所行的不公平。 ’以色列家啊！我必照著你們各人所行的審判你們。
When Ezekiel and other prophets announced God’s coming judgment, some responded by questioning/accusing its fairness. God boldly replied to their accusation that He was entirely fair but His people unfairly looked to fate or the past to determine a person’s destiny. He declared that no one should be fatalistically bound to one’s past, whether that past was righteous or was wicked. God’s judgment according to one’s own ways was (and is) entirely fair. It was fair under the old covenant, which was greatly based on deeds. It is also (in another sense) fair under the new covenant, where people’s faith is proved to be real by their deeds.
當以西結和其他的先知宣告神正在來臨的審判時，某些人以質疑/指控它的公正性來回應。神清晰地回答他們的指控，祂是完完全全公正的，而祂的子民卻不公允地指望天命或過往，來決定一個人的命運。祂宣告沒有人應當受自己的過往宿命地約束，不論那過往是義的，或是不義的。神照著人自己所行的審判，過去（和現在）都是完完全全公正的：在那大大基於行為的舊約之下是公正的；從另一個意義來說，在那以自己的行為，來証明人信心真實的新約之下也是公正的。
Prayer: Righteous and loving God of Trinity, accusing others’ or even your way unjust is often a handy excuse for many people including some Christians to escape from their own murder. We cannot do anything about our past. Nevertheless we can make the right decision and response now to let our Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit not only safeguard us away from your wrath of judgment but also help us to experience your promised abundant life from now to eternity. 禱告: 公義、仁愛的三一神啊！指控他人或甚至你所行的不公平，對許多人包括某些基督徒來說，往往是一個就手的藉口，去逃避自己所犯的兇殺。我們對自己的過往不能夠作甚麽，然而，我們現在能夠作正確的決定和回應，讓我們的主耶穌和聖靈，不單只保護我們離開你審判的烈怒，而且也幫助我們經厲體驗你所應許豐盛的生命，從今時到永遠，感謝你。阿們。
