But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
你應當遵守所學和確信的；你知道是跟誰學的，並且知道自己從小就明白聖經，這聖經能夠使你有智慧，可以因信基督耶穌得著救恩。全部聖經都是神所默示的，在教訓、責備、矯正和公義的訓練各方面，都是有益的，為要使屬神的人裝備好，可以完成各樣的善工。
Theology is a set of facts from the Bible concerning God, man and the world. Teaching Bible doctrine for its own sake without moral application could not only be dull, meaningless and worse than no teaching at all but also lies the snare of head knowledge for both the teacher and the hearers. The Bible is a book of exhortation based upon facts about God, man and the universe. Its greater portion is devoted to persuade people to change their ways and bring their lives into harmony with the will of God. Theological truth is useless until it is obeyed. The purpose behind all doctrine is to secure moral action!
神學是論及神、人和世界的一套從聖經而得的事實。只是為了自身的緣故而無道德實踐地教導聖經教義，不單可以是枯燥乏味和無意義，比完全沒有教導更糟，而且給教師與聽者埋下頭腦知識的網羅。聖經是奠基於有關神、人和宇宙的事實上的勸誨之書，它較大部分的內容是專用於勸人改變他們行徑的，並把他們的生命帶領進入與神旨意的和諧裡。神學的真理是毫無用處的，直至它被遵行。所有教義背後的目的，是要保證道德行為！
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you that you would like to speak to us day by day through the Bible. Your words tell us the truth and still have life-giving power. May you continue to shine your light into our hearts and empower us to do your will. Amen.
